Perfect for paragliders
Diedamskopf – The fliers’ mountain
It’s not only the view that makes the Diedamskopf so popular among visitors to the Bregenzerwald. It has also made quite a name for itself among paragliders and hang-gliders as the fliers’ mountain. And rightly so. This is the ideal place to take-off for long-distance flights towards the Lech valley and the Arlberg region.
The very best flying conditions are normally from October to March. During this period it is possible to land directly in the car park at the bottom station of the cable car, right next door to Hotel Elisabeth. Due to prevailing valley winds, conditions can be somewhat turbulent in summer.
