Unterdiedams valley run
A non-stop ski run from the top of the mountain down into the valley, encompassing a length of 10 kilometres and an altitude difference of 1,200 metres. The Unterdiedams valley run is the winter sports highlight of the Diedamskopf, and rates amongst the best in the whole of Vorarlberg.
Go-Karts and tractors
Boredom is unknown here!
In kids' eyes, our Go-Karts and tractors are the best thing since sliced bread!
Playing on the snowy hillsides
In winter children love to roll around, slide or toboggan down the snowy hillsides. Close by is a playground with a slide and swings - and also the restaurant’s sun terrace, from where you can keep a watchful eye on what your children are up to!
Our own farm
Our cows Alma, Flora, Arnika and Afra are responsible for the production of our very own fresh milk.
The farmer is happy to take you along when he does the milking, and let you watch over his shoulder. From July to September our cows are also on holiday, up on the Auenfeld Alpe in Schröcken.
Trampoline and children's playground
In summer our playground offers a slide, swings, Go-Karts and also a trampoline, which is guaranteed to put a spring in your step!
Forest ski run
The run down through the forest into the valley extends from the bottom station of the Breitenalpe to the beginners’ slope by the Ahorn lift. This is an intermediate run which can also be undertaken by beginners learning the snow plough.
Biomass power station
Sustainable heat from wood
The Zündel family’s power plant plays an important role in the environmental protection of our region. A second, larger plant is located in Gräsalp, and both are fuelled by sustainable wood chips. Wood is a sustainably sourced local fuel which ranks, along with hydro-electrical power, as the principal and, importantly, indefinitely sustainable energy source in Vorarlberg. Both power stations together replace approx. 240,000 litres of oil per year.
Wellness complex sun terrace
Offering direct access to the wellness complex with its sauna, Jacuzzi and infra-red heat cabin, our sun terrace is the perfect place to sunbathe and relax in a deckchair.
Cross-country ski circuit & winter walking trails
Clip on your cross-country skis and off you go! The 62 kilometre long cross-country and skating circuit from Au-Schoppernau runs right past the Hotel Elisabeth. Here too, running parallel to and away from the roads, is a network of approx. 40 kilometres of prepared winter walking trails.
Paragliders' landing zone
In winter the paragliders’ landing zone is beside the Hotel Elisabeth. The Diedamskopf has made quite a name for itself among paragliders and hang-gliders as the fliers’ mountain. And rightly so.
Diedamskopf cable car
At an altitude of 2,000 metres visitors can enjoy an unrivalled panorama stretching from Lake Constance to the Tyrolean Alps, from the Allgäu to the Arlberg, including over 300 mountain peaks. Access to the mountain is via a comfortable gondola.
Schrannenhof
